Need No Water is a London-based independent label specialising in 7″ vinyl releases, which sit mainly within the realms of Indie-Folk or Electronic music (sometimes both).
Presentation is a priority of ours, which is why we focus on the 7 inches, our favourite format, and play around with packaging ideas, but needless to say the music itself is of the most importance so everything is also available to purchase digitally.
We’re from the UK, but our releases have more of a European than British tone, and you’re just as likely to find the artists we work with playing in London as you are in Paris, Brussels, Berlin or Amsterdam.
This all makes us pretty hard to pigeon-hole genre-wise we know, but forget about all that and just stick with us, you’ll be all right.

Mark + Cat are in charge.
Mark runs the label.
Mark + Cat + Tom + Helene run the live events, which happen in London for the most part, and are often called Kick The Plug.

If you’d like to send us a demo or play at one of our live events, don’t send Mark a friend request on Facebook, that’s just weird.
Instead, why not send us a short and polite email with a link to stream or download your music? myspace, soundcloud, your tumblr page; anything is fine so long as we can hear it. Please don’t send us anything as an attachment though, that makes our server cry. We’re very small, but we get an awful lot of these emails, and we try and listen to everything, so please don’t be upset if it takes a while to get a response.
