In collaboration with our friends in Paris, the French label Alter-K, NeedNoWater presents Plaisir De France’s Café Cognac EP; a selection of new remixes following his “Etas De Lieux” compilation album released last year.

Based in Paris, electronic pop enthusiast Julien Barthes AKA Plaisir De France has been a fixture on the French underground music scene for the last ten years. Priding himself as an Indie-pop DJ and working with a heavy roster of labels such as Pro-zak trax, Freak n’ Chic, Turbo, Skint and Output, he’s regularly found with the fashion crowd, creating soundtracks for both shows and films. In parallel to his DJing and sound design, Julien’s been consistently nurturing his reputation for remixes and re-edits, putting his magic to tracks by the likes of Tiga, Etienne Daho, Katerine, Mikado, Jacques Dutronc, Yves Simon along the way.

Plaisir De France’s “Cafe Cognac Remixes EP” will be released on NeedNoWater Records on limited Red 7” vinyl on May 13th 2016.
